So I got to leave work early yesterday. 1pm to be exact. I rarely leave work early since I tend to have INCREDIBLY LARGE AMOUNTS of UNNECESSARY GUILT over leaving AT 5pm, much less leave BEFORE 5! I should be working through this unnecessary guilt in therapy, but I prefer to drink.
ANYWAY, back to something else. Oh, right, I left early yesterday. I promptly went home, got back into my pajamas and was INCREDIBLY LAZY. And you know what? IT FELT GREAT! I ordered cheese sticks and cinnasticks from Dominos and shared some of it with Bear, but I ate most of it. Oh, and I watched movies while eating and knitting, but I didn’t eat and knit at the same time because that’s just messy….and gross.
I started on I Do. And I LOVELOVELOVE* the lace knitting. It’s so fun! And really not that hard. You just have to pay attention to the pattern. I find that I can keep track of what row I’m on by using my row counter to keep track. (Can we say redundant AND convoluted?) I heart my row counter.
[*See how fickle I am in my love of knitting? Remember the brioche stitch? The who? Oh right, the brioche stitch, that European hussy of a stitch. Yeah, I still love her too, but right now I'm overcome with my love of the lace.]
I’m such a knitting slut. Not a whore, because I don’t get paid to knit. If I’m confusing you, check out this previous post. Anyway, the reason WHY I’m such a knitting slut is the fact that I started on I Do yesterday while I was at home, and then I went to my intarsia class last night and started on yet ANOTHER PROJECT. This is why I’m a knitting slut. Not to mention the fact that I STILL HAVEN’T FINISHED THE SECOND SUCK sock, or the baby blanket or Hoodie or GKI Raglan Sweater or Honeymoon Cami (though technically, I have to restart this one since the knitting needles were destroyed by HE WHO SHALL NOT BE NAMED [Toby], so it probably shouldn’t count as a current WIP.). I don’t stay faithful to any one project for very long, but yesterday I had a two-in-one day. Is there a support group for this? Because I need to join. Or maybe I need to join a support group that will help me FINISH SOME OF THESE PROJECTS!

something bad has happened to blogger.com so i can’t update, although, believe me, i tried. i didn’t have time to post yesterday because my only free time was spent taking skills tests. as soon as blogger.com heals, i’ll update, promise.
He he! Take the sock to work with you and work on it a few rows at a time during lunch. It may take you a month, but at least you’ll have an FO. Keep the sock project at work. Then do the same with the blanket or the hoodie or the raglan. Keep I Do at home. And then make another one your random on-the-go project. I know, it sounds good, but I’ve been doing it the past few projects…
you have “second sock syndrome”
When I had a job, I’d get really guilty calling in sick even if I really was terribly ill. I totally order just breadsticks from pizza places sometimes. Those things are tasty! Really the second project should count, it was for a class. You couldn’t just not knit the project for the class.
