So, I got the much anticipated e-mail yesterday! I start my dream job on Dec. 6. Yay! I’m putting in my two week notice today. Always makes me a little bit nervous to do, I’m not really sure why, but it does. I’m so happy about getting out of there, though.
On a completely unrelated, but equally happy note, since I got back from my cruise (A.C.) I have lost 11 lbs! I now fit in all my old clothes! I’ve lost more inches than pounds, definitely, because there are still plenty places on my body that have room for improvement. But overall, I am extremely happy about it. So I appear to be losing about 1.5 lbs a week. I don’t know if that’s exactly how it’s coming off, but that’s what it averages out to. So, in sizes, before the cruise I had gone from a 14 to a 12, and now I’m fitting in a 10! My goal is to be a size 8.
And as for knitting, I have started into the red on the Santa Hat, but I think that the white part is a little too flimsy. I’m debating on starting it over and getting some Lamb’s Pride worsted wool in white knit with the Berroco Plush white to give it a little more substance. I love the feel and the fluffiness of the Berroco Plush, but I just think it’s a little too flimsy. Of course, I’ve only knitted hats with Lamb’s Pride worsted and bulky weight yarns, so maybe it’s just fine, and I’m not used to it. Another thought is that instead of double strand knitting the red with the Lamb’s Pride worsted, I could just knit it single strand. It would be much easier to frog that and start over with just the red rather than start over with the whole hat. Anybody got any suggestions or advice?
