I changed hosting companies and am already so much happier. Better price, better customer support, no server issues that break the blog. But that’s not why you come here. So, look! I carded!
I’ve decided that I really need to read up more to figure out what I’m really doing. I skimmed through the two chapters in my Colors in Spinning by Deb Menz, but I think I really need to pay better attention. Also, it would probably help if I had the book handy while I’m, you know, using the drum carder.

The batt looks great. You know there’s a few fiber prep forums on Ravelry that are great for tips, etc. on using drum carders.
