Week’s End

Friday afternoon was not so fun. Remember how I locked myself out of my apartment by losing my key in my shorts? Well, I did something like that except that my shorts were innocent this time. I had my keys attached to Bear’s collar by a carabiner while we were out running. Bear had stopped to pee on some ivy when he spotted a cat and jerked the leash out of my hand and then proceeded to chase and then attempted to eat the cat. (Just so you know, there was no actual eating of the cat by Bear and the cat ran away, so I’m assuming it wasn’t mortally wounded.) Anyway, once I finally separated Bear and the cat, I discovered that while the carabiner was still attached to his collar, my keys were NOWHERE TO BE FOUND. And I searched and searched and searched. I ended up having to walk about 2 miles to where April and Ginny live to get my spare key and then April went back with me (in her car) to look some more with flashlights. Still didn’t find my keys. All I can say is Thank God for spare keys.

The rest of my weekend was not as eventful, thankfully. I had a some drinks with friends Friday night. Satur was spent driving around town running errands, visiting Lori, watching Celeste do her Buto piece, and knitting. Sunday was HOTHOTHOT. After walking Bear in the morning, I didn’t bother to leave the house again until 4pm, when I went to go pick up Ginny to go watch Wedding Crashers. ABSOLUTELY A MUST SEE. Oh, and that whole time I was inside all day? I was knitting. I’ve finished the front of hoodie and I am now onto sleeve one of two. All in all, aside from the key incident, I had a nice, low key, mostly restful weekend.
