I sold another scarf at Zan’s shop! This is exciting for me. You never know how people will react to your work. Some people will love it. Some people will think it’s toilet. Some people will never notice it hanging up. Such is life.
Anyway, I had been feeling a little less than inspired to knit lately, what with the incident with the sleeve and being cold and tired all the time. Damn winter and lack of sunlight. (It’s overcast as I type this.)
But finding out that I had sold another scarf inspired me to start knitting.
So last night I went through my remnants stash and came up with some leftover yarn that I thought would look…..crazy…..knit together as a scarf. I think it’s coming along quite nicely. Here’s a close up of the yarn. The yarn color is pretty accurate in this picture.
It’s two strands of bulky weight with one strand of fun fur. Hey, I’m not a fan of the fun fur, but people (non-knitters) seem to be drawn to it. I think I’m going to name this scarf Viva Las Vegas. I’m probably going to run out of the fuscia before I run out of the pink, so I’ll probably continue it with turqoise. It’s going to be a crazy loud scarf. I’m not sure if I like it, but just because I don’t doesn’t mean someone else won’t.
Oh yeah, I’m knitting it on 15s. I cast on 6 stitches, knit one row, next row knit one, *YO, k2tog* (you’ll end up with 7 stitches on the needle), knit next two rows. repeat from *. Keep going until you reach your desired length. I like that scarves can be pretty mindless.
The weird thing is, this scarf keeps curling sideways as I knit it up. It’ll definitely require blocking once its done. I’ll probably finish this puppy this weekend. Nothing quite as satisfying as a successful quickie knit.

Naughty, naughty.
That’s a nice knit you got there.
That is knit-tastic!
