You know how the saying goes, something about best laid plans and all that? Yeah. That was my night.
Unfortunately, SnB didn’t happen last night. Everybody pretty much had other plans and it was going to be just Paige and me, but then Paige called to cancel because she felt like she was coming down with something.
So what did I do? I did what anyone else in my position would have done. I went to the Art Walk Preamble. I got there a little after 7 and met up with some friends and just had a really good time. Looked at some mediocre art. Looked at some good art. Looked at some great art. I didn’t bid on anything, but I did enter in a raffle to win a Vespa. With the way gas prices are going, I didn’t think it was a bad idea. I got to spend some time getting to know a friend better. M is a really cool guy that I met through boy and M and I got to spend quite a bit of time just talking and getting to know one another. He is a really neat individual and I really liked talking with him. I feel like he’s a kindred soul in many ways. I’m definitely glad to call him friend.
Tonight is Art on the Rocks at the Birmingham Museum of Art. I haven’t gone to any of these yet and really wish I’d gone to the last one that was on my birthday because Augustana was playing. Hopefully I’ll see them the next time they come through. Tonight DJ Logic is playing. Looks like it’ll be interesting.
