I was jonesing to knit the KGI Raglan Sweater, aka not MY sweater, but instead, buckled down to do some obligatory knitting. I promised a friend of mine that I would knit some dog sweaters/clothing for an charity auction, so I spent my weekend knitting dog booties and started on the matching scarf last night. The booties are done minus the seaming. I figure I’ll save that for last, since its my LEAST favorite thing to do, EVER. After the scarf and booties are done, I’ll do the sweater. The sweater will be an interesting combination of pink and variegated blue. Please note that the booties and scarf are not meant to be warn with the sweater. I promised to make these things so I’m doing it. But I just don’t necessarily want to be doing them right now when there is much yummy NBK goodness to be had, or for that matter, mohair goodness with my Hoodie. MY HOODIE.
My friend Celeste asked me this weekend when I was going to bring some of my knitting down to Moxie, an art gallery in town that, right now, has a show of “wearable art.”
This is something to ponder and think about. It may be something to consider seriously. My wheels are certainly spinning. It would be easy to consider making funky scarves that wouldn’t take long and I could certainly show them if they were interested. Plus, Celeste is my in and could talk me up.
There is certainly no harm in that. I just need to decide on whether or not I would want to do this. I’m leaning towards thinking that I should….
