I went to SAFF. I think it conquered me, not so much the other way around. I’m walking around in a stupor today and let’s just say that it is a small miracle that I am dressed and somewhat presentable. Somewhat.
I met bloggers. I met knitters. I met spinners. I met alpacas. I met spinning wheels. Oh. My. God. Because I need a spinning wheel. I need a Lendrum (sp?). I met and now understand the obsession with Brooks Farm yarns. I bought tons of roving. I skipped my spindling class in favor of of of…I think was looking at more roving and visiting my Angora bunny. Oh yeah, I met, fell in love with and totally impulse purchased Sugar Ray, a very gorgeous black English Angora Rabbit.
I camped with my girlfriends and discovered that I was woefully underprepared to camp in the woods in what I consider winter weather, but probably everyone else considers fall.
Asheville, NC is BEAUTIFUL this time of year and I have not a single picture to show for all the gawking at the leaves I did.
I also forgot my camera cable and have no way to show you the pictures that I did take. That’ll have to be for tomorrow’s post.
Oh yeah, even though I totally blew off my spindling class, I watched Elizabeth enough to figure it out on my own. I think I’ve kinda got the hang of it. Now I just need to get better at it and study up on setting the twist and all the rest of the stuff that goes with making yarn.

sounds like you had fun!! Dude, you bought a bunny??? How’s Chloe taking the new addition?
I want bunny yarn for Chri’mus.
I’m joining the throngs of bunny comments. Pictures of Sugar Ray soon please? Oh and hey, thanks for linking to me! I put up a link to those mittens you liked.
It was great meeting you at SAFF. You are more than welcome to “steal” some of my Flickr pix. And YES – Sugar Ray needs to be on your blog – SOON! Have a great day!
