While I am miles above the continent, being hurtled through space to a far and distant land (west coast), I thought you might enjoy a tour of my home.
Look! A door! And not just any door, MY front door. That would be my violin in the corner. It’s been a VERY BAD violin. Hence, it is sitting in the corner. Oh, and by the fireplace are all my shoes. I practice the "Asian Way of Living" by taking off my shoes as soon as I come in the house. Helps cut down on tracking crap through my place. Bear, however, does not subscribe to the "Asian Way of Living" and continues to track crap through the house.
I have this kick ass floor to ceiling stone fireplace in the middle of my living room. I love it. That’s the telly in the corner. And that bright light is the huge window that has no curtain covering it yet. One day soon, my pretty. Oh yeah, pretend like you don’t see my sewing maching, computer, or random drawers full of sewing paraphernalia sitting on the floor.
I wasn’t kidding when I said floor to ceiling. I don’t know what is up with the wood plaque in the middle there. I think I’ll hang some yarn on it. Like a fish, but yarn. Ooh, I should knit a fish and stick it on the plaque. How tacky would that be!
On top of the tv cabinet is my Rev. C. Keen Zero shrine. Oh how I love his marbles and pottery! Must get more pottery. Christmas is coming!
This is where I sit and look at my fireplace. One of my requisites for anywhere I live is that Bear blends in with the floor. Instead of "Where in the World Is Waldo?" We play "Where in the Hell is Bear?" He’s in this picture. If you can spot him, get yourself a cookie.
This is the kick ass pocket door that divides my living room from my bedroom. If it’s all the way open my apartment looks like one long room. This picture was actually taken a few weeks ago. That box is no longer in the living room and that futon skeleton has been covered up with a mattress. Also, can you tell "Where in the Hell is Bear?" If so, get yourself a cookie.
My cute little kitchen.
That’s my "precious" in the corner there. I love my stackable washer and dryer. It’s mine, all mine! MWAHAHAHA!!!….uh, excuse me. I don’t know what came over me just then.
This is not a bathroom. The word bathROOM implies space. An actual ROOM. This, my friends, is a water CLOSET. All the necessary components for bodily hygiene and what not crammed into the smallest space possible.
This lovely space is my bedroom. It is open and spacious and the kitchen and bathroom water closet are off my bedroom. Why yes, that is another fire place. It doesn’t actually do anything, though. I think my bedroom was originally a kitchen. The fireplace was once connected to a wood-burning stove. I need some more pictures and other cool things to put on the mantle. Now look to the right of the fireplace. See that?
This is one of my favorite things about this apartment. The built-in bookcase. And look at the goodies I keep in this built-in bookcase:
Knitting related books and
my stash…or as I like to call it "yarn porn orgy."
This concludes the tour of Chez kNiThEaD. I hope you’re enjoyed your visit, now get the hell out of my house. I’m not even at home and you’re tramping all through my place! How rude.

Love your Apartment. From the windows it looks like a Craftsman style? Georgous fireplace and bear is a bear of a dog? Cute. I taught myself to knit about 1 year ago. Love your place.
