The Yarn Doctor Said I Needed More Fiber in My Diet

That’s what was prescribed. And honestly, who am I to argue with the good doctor?

I received 3 batts of this from Franquemont Fibers. The colorway is Extreme Tweed (Superwash merino wool, Blue Faced Leicester wool, mixed hand-dyed tussah and bombyx silks, baby camel noil, cashmere, baby camel down, angora). It should be enough to make sock yarn. I am both excited and apprehensive about making sock yarn.

1 batt of Tiger Lilly (40% superwash wool / 25% Blue Faced Leicester / 35% assorted hand-dyed silks). Also from Franquemont Fibers.

1 batt of Crown Jewels (70% superwash wool / 30% assorted hand-dyed silks) Franquemont Fibers again. (The red is a little over saturated in this picture.)

5 oz. of assorted luxury blends (I will not belittle you by spelling it out for you when you can read the labels yourself. Also, I am lazy.) in the Oriental Poppies colorway. This batch is from Susan’s Spinning Bunny. Susan is so awesome. I cannot gush enough about her customer service and how so very personable she is via e-mail. No small feat, really.

So what did I do after I got all of this? I spun up some more of the blue roving I’ve been working on. I suppose so I’d feel less guilty when I start in on one of my new rovings. And also because I couldn’t decide which one to spin up first.
