Once I got back from SAFF, I was compelled by the wool to hand card some of this.
And turn it into this.
And then spin it up and turn that into this.
The dark yarn next to it is what was left over after I plied it with the blue/purple yarn. And as much as I want to pretty much go through all my roving and go nuts with the carding and the spinning, I’m not. I am showing some serious restraint. Why? Christmas knitting. That’s why. I’ve got a Flower Basket shawl and a NEVERENDING chevron scarf to finish before I can spin to my heart’s content. I keep telling myself that spinning will be my reward when I finish the knitting. And at least it’s two different projects to keep me occupied. Thank goodness I don’t have to worry about project monogamy burnout. And? I get to use my new yarn bowl!

Ooh! Ooh! Pretty new handspun!
Someone bring me some colorful roving and my dog brushes right away!
Lovely yarn! (Cool yarn bowl!)
Beautiful! What is this wool that you carded? It looks a lot like what i’m spinning now. It turned out so fluffy! I’m going to have to get out my cards soon…
Finish up those knits so we can see them! I love the flower basket shawl… i’ve knit 3 so far!
You did a great job with the carding!!!! Love how fluffy the roving looks and VERY pretty spun!!!!!
I love the yarn bowl…..I use mine all the time!!!
Darling, your spinning is tres fabu! Smoosh to the max!
I am putting xmas knitting completely out of my mind. Or at least, trying to! I have at least two pair of socks I should knit, and probably some other stuff too.
