As the weather starts to get warmer, I find myself thinking about knitting lighter things, like shawls and socks. Well, socks might not necessarily be lighter, but I find that knitting socks is one of those rare things I can do year round. Especially since no matter how sweaty my hands get, the yarn won?t felt. And you think that?s as gross as you want, but they are my socks and I don?t care. Also, I can?t be the only one that suffers from this. Can I?
I think that while I might finish knitting up the sleeve of the raglan sweater, I probably won?t actually finish the sweater any time soon because of the weather. And then again, I might.
I?ve been thinking a lot about the Kiri Shawl and how I really need to finish it. But even more than that, I really want to finish it. Maybe I?ll dig it out tonight and curse at it while I rip it back to the beginning of the current repeat to try and fix the mysterious disappearing stitch. Is it possible to insert a lifeline after the fact? (Note to self: Get some lace blocking wires.)
Also, is it crazy that I sometimes wonder if there is some way I can create a large dome with vent holes to place over the shawl, or for that matter any of my knitting, while it blocks to keep the cat off of it??She doesn?t like to be wet, but she loves to lie on wet knitting. Yeah, I don?t understand that either.
Anyway, if you hear a lot of screaming and cussing coming from the southeastern corner of the country this evening, relax, it?s just me knitting, or rather unknitting, my shawl.
And now for something completely unrelated:

Look into one of those net domes people use at picnics to keep bugs off of the food. Should be pretty cheap unless you get it at Williams-Sonoma.
That Star Wars video was hilarious! :-p Thanks!
Thank you darling. I needed a little Eddie today!
I have the yarn for Kiri and yet, I can’t seem to pull the trigger! I live through you.
Dude, you live in Alabama. Ain’t nothin’ in AlaBAMA what ain’t sweaty 11 months out of the year.
Also, the video? *dies*
