Dscf0070 The heel is actually turned on this bad boy. Sock #2. This picture is from Saturday morning and I didn’t feel like taking a picture last night and then this morning it was raining so I didn’t feel like taking a picture with bad lighting. Am I the excuse queen or what? While I did not finish this sock this weekend, I did take it with me when Naoms and I went to visit Aunt B. Dscf0072She tried on the finished sock and said it fit perfectly, she really liked it and she couldn’t wait to have the finished pair. That made me happy. It also was some serious incentive to finish the sock. I’m hoping to have it finished this week for two reasons. 1. I want to give my Aunt B her socks. 2. I want to start on Tubey.

And before you start saying, "You can have more than one project on the needles at a time!" you should know that I can’t. I cannot have more than one project on the needles at a time. When my attention is divided like that, it makes me crazy…uh, crazier. And old projects get pushed aside for new projects. Then the old projects get angry and write me threatening letters. It’s not pretty. Strange how they’re mostly from socks.

Oh, and another reason I can’t start on Tubey yet is because I need a fresh pattern from Scott to go on the sleeves. I decided that I would knit a design instead of stripes, but only on the sleeves.

This weekend (Saturday, specifically) was my little sister’s birthday. Celeste threw a January Birthday Party and it was a costume party, so we got all dressed up and partied at the Asylum. It was great fun. Of course, I only have pictures before we went to the party, not during. I was, uh, too, uh, busy to take pictures. Yeah, that’s it!

  • Don’t let them fool you with that “you can knit multiple things at once” hogwash…I’m with you. I go crazy trying to work on multiple projects. I may have half a dozen things cast on, but I can only pay attention to one at a time.

And you’re so cute in those pictures! Glad you had a fun (if…ahem…busy) party.

  • Could you BE any cuter? Geez.

  • bob

That third picture really shows off your knits.
