Sleep Interrupted

Barron_1Life is good. Work has calmed down and is manageable and relatively stress-free as far as work goes. I’ve got a project on the needles (still the Auburn sock). I have several lined up to be knitted next. (I really need to come up with a pattern for the tiki doll.) I have several scarves ready to go to Zan’s. (I need to call her.) I also need to go to Kinko’s and get some cards made. Someone remind me.

My only complaint? I have one crazy kitten who suckles all the damn time when I’m trying to sleep. Anyone know a cure for this? She kneads her paws and suckles my comforter right next to me or while sitting on top of me. While I know she is enjoying herself immensely (loudest. purr. ever.), my sleep suffers. And, if I do manage to fall asleep, she sees that it is most fit to wake me up to this behavior, namely by stabbing me with one of her tiny claws while kneading and suckling. Do you have any idea how much it hurts to get stabbed with a claw on the inside of your arm near your pit? Let’s just say it doesn’t feel good, k? I love my kitten. Really, I do. I just don’t care for being kept up and woken up because of the suckling. Does anyone have a cure for this? Anyone? Bueller? Anyone?
