I had a suprise fabulous weekend. Love it when that happens. Friday after work, I ended up crashing pretty hard. As in, barely made it in the door before I was passing out on my bed for a good 45 min nap. Then there was the fast dog walking, giant thunderstorm and a movie and a half at April’s. If you have not seen Eulogy, your life is not complete. So. Damn. Funny. Very irreverent. If you are a fan of dark comedy, this movie is right up your alley. I saw about half of A Day Without A Mexican. From what I remember of it, it was pretty funny too, but I fell alseep, woke up and went home. The fun and exciting life I lead as a young, single woman. Can you keep up?
Satur’s mail brought me this super fabuloso package from my secret pal, who so totally rocks! Just look at all these goodies!(Click to make bigger.)
I am once again inspired to knit lace. Suggestions anyone? I’m not sure how I feel about shawls. I think if I find the right one, I’d be all over it. I don’t know. Must look at patterns and see what strikes my fancy.
Oh and veggies? I have found my new favorite way to eat veggies. A friend of mine had an impromptu dinner party and I brought over fresh veggies to "shish kabob" and they turned out fabulous, if I do say so myself. We had fresh green bell peppers, red bell peppers, yellow squash, zucchini squash, mushrooms, red onion and tomatoes. After cutting them up, I marinated them in teriyaki sauce and then skewered them and then they were grilled for about 5-7 minutes. Talk about delicious! The whole dinner was wonderful. The steaks were tender and delicious, the veggies were great, the company was great. Such a fabulous time. Fabulous. Do you think I could use fabulous a little bit more?
Well, after all that super fabulousness, the bad and the ugly struck Sunday morning. My friend’s (dinner party friend) water pressure regulator in the basement decided to start spewing water out. Talk about a big mess and a headache and feeling helpless and useless. I’m pretty certain that I don’t want to own a house. Or if I do, it’ll be a condo or a loft and that kind of stuff more than likely will be taken care of by a maintenance crew. Also, with a loft or a condo there is NO yardwork. I see nothing wrong with that. Anyway, taking pity on my friend, I’ve given him an all access pass to use my water until his is back on. Makes me glad I live in an apartment. Also? You never really appreciate what you have until you don’t have it anymore. At least, that’s what I hear. I wouldn’t know. My water works.

you sure you didn’t sabotage his water so you could perve on him in your shower??
sounds like a plan to me.
