Say a Prayer

My dear sweet cat, Scraggles, is sick and won’t stop throwing up. The vet has put her on a special diet and given her medicine to take 3 times a day. We’ve been doing this for about a week now and she’s still throwing up at least once a day. While that is much more preferable to after every time she eats, it’s still not good for her. She’s lost a lot of weight, and she wasn’t a big cat to begin with.

I dropped her off at the vet this morning, so I just hope the vet has some good news for us when he calls. In the meantime, David wants to get a second opinion on what is wrong with her. Our vet thinks that she must have eaten something that was rotten dead and it’s messed up her stomach and she’s not overproducing acid.

Both cats go out during the day while we’re at work, so that is possible. But we don’t know, and Scraggles doesn’t speak English, only Cat. We still haven’t broken that language barrier.

Anyway, I just want her to get better.

As for my knitting, I got about half way through the second boob. This one is going to fit much better, which is a great relief, because I really didn’t want to have to knit it yet again. I probably would have gotten more done if I hadn’t been watching the MTV Movie Awards. Still, it’s coming along nicely, and will go much quicker now that the bottom half is done.

TGIF people! I hope everyone has a great weekend!

  • I’m so sorry about Scraggles. I hope the vet can help her – could it be a food allergy? My old cat scooter couldn’t have any catfood with dairy. Hugs to Scraggles!
