Rite of Passage

BAD Boy is a picky eater. Like, ridiculously picky. And he’s picky about the damnedest things. Like cake. He refuses to eat it because “it’s gross.”

I know, right? Sometimes it can get really frustrating.

Well, up until last week, donuts were also on the gross list. And then he got a wild hair and tried one. And now they’re his favorite. He loves them. And since he had only recently discovered his love of donuts, he had never eaten a hot-off-the-conveyor Krispy Kreme glazed doughnut.

So of course I had to change that. And the only way to do that? Take him to Krispy Kreme. So that’s what I did.

If you’ve never been in a Krispy Kreme when the sign is on, then, well, you just haven’t lived. If you like the show How It’s Made (as BAD Boy does) then you will love the Krispy Kreme experience when the sign is on. Because you get to watch your donuts get made.

Hot and fresh

And then you get to eat them when they’re hot and fresh and melt in your mouth. And when you’re a 10 year old boy who has finally discovered the fantastic world of donuts AND you get to experience what is essentially a real-life How It’s Made episode while eating freshly made doughnuts? It really doesn’t get much better than that.
