Resolutionizing

I don’t normally do New Years Resolutions because, well, everyone does that and I want to be different, damn it. So I’m starting my resolutions a week early.

1. Starting today, I will work out with regularity. As a matter of fact, I’ve already done my workout for the day.
I still want to run a 5k. The next one I know of is in February. I started with Week 1, Day 1 of Couch to 5k. I’m going to try to get in some Pilates or weight training on the days I’m not running. This should not be difficult for me once I start. And since I started, I would like to think I am good to go. I am not going to make excuses as to why I cannot work out. I only need 30 minutes a day. This is totally doable. Period. Also, this is just a side note, but despite all my pigging out on buckeyes and other yummy goodies, I managed to only gain back 5 lbs during the period of time starting from Thanksgiving weekend through yesterday. Yay me!

2. I would love to say here that this is where I put my foot down and kick laundry in the ass. I am not delusional or suicidal so don’t expect that to happen.

3. I will use my sewing machine more.
I got 2 very nice gift cards to my LYS. My LYS that also happens to sell really pretty fabric and books on sewing. DOUBLE SCORE!

4. I will create a haven for craft.
I’ve actually already started on this and have a good bit of it set up already. I will reveal all in another post because it’s not ready yet.

5. I will take more pictures.
It doesn’t matter if they are good or crappy. I’m just going to take them. I think I might do Project 365 to encourage the picture taking. This I will actually start on Jan. 1, 201o.

6. I will knit from the stash.
I think that I will forced to be more creative if my project must suit my stash instead of just buying new yarn to make a project every time. If I don’t have commercial yarn for the project, then I will spin yarn for said project. I have a cabinet full of nothing but roving. This should not be impossible.

7. I will not take up weaving just yet.

I think that’s a decent sized and manageable list.
