Reflections

You know, lately I haven’t been knitting as much as I would like. Things keep getting in the way of my knitting like work, sleep, eating, 100+ degree weather, etc. I am knitting, just not as much or as often as I think is normal or proper.

I love knitting but I am not a fan of cold weather. Is that ironic?  Maybe it would be for someone else, but for me it just seems normal. Par for the course, if you will. I am, however, coming to appreciate cold weather because of the knitting.

Today it’s supposed to get up 97 degrees or something like that, but I’ll probably be outside for a good bit of it. I don’t want this to stop me from doing any knitting on a day off, but this will prove to be challenging. I’m sure I’ll be able to come up with something that won’t felt in my hands. If anything, I think I’ll take the jolly roger II with me and work on that. It’s small enough and there’s no mohair involved.

So here’s to a Happy 4th of July for the Americans and a well-deserved day off.
