There are so many reasons why I love B. This is just another example of a reason why. Not to mention the fact that I think he’s a closet wannabe knitter. Seriously. He says he’s an "appreciator." We’ll see how long that lasts.
I ordered some Wildefoot sock yarn to make him some Arrrgh-yle (He renamed them that. Not me.) socks because we are all about Jolly Rogers. And maybe socks. I showed him the sock yarn last night.
Me: Hey, I’ve got something to show you. [toss the bag of yarn to him.]
B: Cool!
Me: So you like the colors?
B: Yeah!
[pause: There was some Crash Bandicoot action going on last night. Old school PS1 Crash Bandicoot. I was kicking some ass.]
Me: Hey, would you be –
B: Shhh! Pay attention here. Focus. You always die on this bonus round and you need to focus.
Me: Okay?

[pause: I die yet again on the stupid bonus level with all the freaking tnt boxes. Damnit. Sigh]
B: Oooh, good try though. Okay, what were you asking me?
Me: Would it hurt your feelings if I maybe abandoned your grey sock for the Arrrgh-yle socks?
B: I’d be okay with it but —
Me: Well, not abandon completely, but just for a little while?
B: It’s not going to hurt my feelings one way or the other, but I think it’s the sock’s feelings you need to worry about. You know how they get.

I finished the first Fetching glove last night. I even wove in the ends. Hell, there were only 5 ends to weave in. I’ve started on the second one, I’m just past the first repeat. It’ll be done by the end of the day, I think. Do you see what I mean about this yarn? It is gorgeous. I love that the colorway makes the cables more subtle. [B also pointed out that they're a great color for me. I'm telling you, he's a knitter at heart. Not to mention he's picking up the knitting lingo at an astonishing rate. Picking it up AND using it correctly. While I was working on the second glove, he was reading Henry Rollin's new book. He looked up from the book at one point, looked at the knitting and asked, "How're the cables coming along?" Dude, he rocks.]

Wowee, your fetching is very fetching! I love it!
I bet Henry Rollins knits.
I love him too! Wait, who is he?
