There is something on my desk that leaks blue ink all over my right hand. This is a mystery to me for two reasons: 1. I am left handed and 2. I generally write with black ink pens. Maybe I’m an alien and occasionally leak blue ink? That is the mostly likely of scenarios.
Anyway, the socks. I started on a sock with the trekking yarn last night while watching Mommy Dearest with my sister. We got to the part where Joan Crawford cuts Christine’s hair off when she’s sitting at the vanity. I turned to my sister at this point and said, “Up until now, I didn’t see what was so crazy about her. This is a little extreme, though.” I’m not sure what that says about me or my childhood. And we didn’t watch more than that so I haven’t see the “no more wire hangers” scene just yet. And I’ve never seen this movie before. And yes, I have been living under a rock. Why do you ask?
I think I’ve pretty much decided that these socks are going to be double seed stitch pattern all the way down. It’s my favorite stitch pattern. I’m interested to see how it turns out.
Oh, and I started reading Wicked last night. I am probably the last person on the planet to read this book, but holy crap! it’s good.
Oh yeah, and I finally finished watching Alias seasons 4 and 5 so now I need to find something else to watch when I’m knitting on my lunch break. Any suggestions?

That yarn is purdy…
Your rock must be near mine. I haven’t seen Mommy Dearest at all.
Arrested Development! You need to watch all of Arrested Development.
Maybe you’re an octopus.
Don’t feel bad I haven’t seen “Mommy Dearest” or read “Wicked” either…I have, however, read “Confessions of an Ugly Step Sister” which was frickin brilliant.
Law and Order – that should keep you busy at lunch for a while.
Oh my goodness! I love the color of that yarn =) Is that like Trekking XXL or what and if so what color? Lol. I’d love to have socks in that color. I can’t wait to see the final product.
Get lost in Lost. You’ll thank me.
I have yet to read Wicked…thanks for reminding me to add it to the list.
Good News….you are NOT the last person in the world that hasn’t read Wicked………also on my list of things to get around to hopefully soon!! LOL!!
Have to think about the ink situation….unless we are living in a parallel universe but in reverse and ……..hmmmm.
I *loved* Wicked, which I read before they made play, thank you (which I also like a lot).
TV: Lost and 24 are great (well, some of 24 is great). I enthusiastically second the motion for Arrested Development, and I’ll also strongly suggest both House and The Office.
