I am amazed by this yarn. I had no idea how it was going to turn out Navajo plied because I had never done it before. Also, 5 different types of roving, none of them the same blend AND the way the different fibers took the (same) dye was never the same, so there was really no telling. Imagine that.
ANYWAY, I spun the first ounce long draw. I decided to spin the rest of the roving from the fold. I loved loved LOVED the way the yarn spun up from the fold with all the different pretty colors. The pinks and the reds and the purples. I am totally enamored with barber poled yarns. Oh! And did you know? Sometimes barber-poled single ply becomes kind of heathery when you ply it on itself and it’s all the same color and then sometimes it becomes doubly barber poled when it’s two different colorways of barber-poled yarn! Did that make any sense at all? Whatever. It is SO COOL.
For the most part, this is worsted weight yarn, and measures at 12 WPI. However, there are some thick and thin spots. But those places don’t occur all too terribly often. Oh, and I started out with 5 oz of roving and ended up with 168 yards after Navajo plying it. Not bad for my first attempt, eh?

Oh, that’s really pretty (and fun.)
Ooh, PRETTY! *virtual smoosh*
And no, I had absolutely no idea what you were talking about. Hooray!
