Sometimes I think Alabama is like the Bermuda Triangle of weather – weird shit happens and it’s just kind of expected. Friday we had a thunderstorm that was so intense, our house was rocked by thunder several times in a row and for fairly long periods of time. Today? Today we have had about 1 -2 inches of snow. It’s really messed up.
To give you an idea of how much rain we had Friday, here’s a video of Charlie with the horses and donkeys down at the farm YESTERDAY and you can see all the sloshy puddles in the field. And also an idiot dog “playing” with animals that could easily kill him by stepping on him. You can also hear my SIL and me laughing at Charlie.
And here are pictures I took earlier this morning in our yard. As in TODAY.
We got quite a few inches, but it’s already starting to melt. Because that’s how we roll in Alabama. Tomorrow it’ll probably be warm enough to go swimming.

My jealousy knows no bounds.
Oh no! Where’s my Vulcan butt? ::sigh:: I kinda liked being mooned every time I visited.
Our weather is seriously screwy. My mom mentioned it was supposed to be in the upper 60′s by Friday. Haven’t verified that yet, but it wouldn’t surprise me.
Wow – I had no idea weather was so screwy down there! Well, hope it improves for you!
I must say, I get a bit of sick satisfaction seeing snow all over your lovely flowering trees while I sit here looking out my window at the depths of winter. Also, I nearly pissed myself when those donkeys and horses all took off chasing Charlie.
I like your new blog look, but I have to say I kinda miss seeing Vulcan’s ass! ;o)
I should’ve known it would snow – it only happens on the weekends!
