So, this morning, I’m walking the dogs like I do every morning. However, to make this morning extra special, my Jack Russell, Toby, decided to take off. Refused to listen or come back or behave like himself at all. I alternated between red fury and nauseating worry. Neither are a good place to be at 6:00 a.m. I took Bear home and went back out looking for Toby to no avail. Well, I got a call on my cell at work around 8:45 a.m. this morning from my vet. Someone found Toby! And, they live a block away from me. Whew. Apparently he was on his way home and got sidetracked. So, the lovely lady who found him staring at her when she walked out the door on her way to work has left him in her backyard. I will be picking him up after work. Why not sooner? Because I walked to work today and that’s a 30 minute walk. I am incredibly grateful to her for finding him, getting him to go in with her and keeping him in her backyard for me. How kind and sweet! I think I will knit her a thank you gift since there really isn’t enough money in the world to give her for doing something so kind!
In knitting news, I ended up taking the sock with me to my dad’s instead of the blanket. The sock is just so much easier to transport.
I finished the gusset last night while watching Lost and Alias. Let me digress…Alias kicked ass last night! Ok, back to our regular programming. Um, I guess that’s really all I have to say for now!
