Dear Blog,
I have thought about you a lot these past few days when my life was racing past me at break neck speed and I was trying my best to hobble along after it and maybe catch up. And catch my breath. We’ve been working hard to establish new routines that involve going to the gym and exercising(!) on a regular basis. And at that place that gives me a paycheck, hours have been long because it’s that time of year when hours get long for me. This also cuts into blogging time. And even though I carry my camera or my phone that can take pictures with me pretty much everywhere I go, I generally find myself going, “I should take a pictures of that.” And then life goes, “HA HA! CATCH ME IF YOU CAN!” And I go scurrying after it and the picture doesn’t get taken.
So what’s been going on? Well, my aunt and uncle came to visit from Korea and we spent some time with them. It’s tough because my Korean is extremely limited and their English is even more limited, so my mom plays interpreter and we limp along as well as we can when my mom is not in the room. But they’re family and I love seeing them despite the language barrier. I kinda love that my Aunt will speak to me in Korean no matter what and sometimes I understand her and sometimes I have no clue what she’s saying and just smile and nod and bow. I also got to see pictures of one cousin’s wedding and they were gorgeous. She and her husband look like movie stars and while I don’t want to have a ceremony, I totally wanted to recreate those pictures with B. They were awesome. And I got to see pictures of my other cousin’s little boy, who is the cutest kid ever with the most awesome natural mohawk.
My mom’s birthday was Friday and we had a big dinner that she cooked and we ate Whole Food’s old fashioned chocolate cake with chocolate icing for birthday cake. Oh. My. God. I want to marry that cake. It is so good. And there was more working out yesterday and visiting B’s side of the family for more family get togethering. Such a good time. And now I am just kind of recovering from my life going, “QUICK! I’M OVER HERE! COME GET ME NOW!”
Oh yeah, I did a mad dash of knitting the Citron shawl and it is finished except for the blocking. I’m thinking that after I clean my bathroom and my sink, I’ll soak that baby and block it. And then maybe later I’ll take pictures and even show you. In the meantime, I’m going to spend some time mindlessly folding laundry and not really thinking any deep thoughts or chase after my life, because damn, I need a break.
Love,
Miss Pants

Traditional Korean outfits? Cause I have a set of those available for a photo shoot, male & female, if I can figure out what my mom did with them after my last marriage.
