I spent a good portion of last week cleaning like a mad woman. It’s one way to cope with having your space violated. At least, it is for me. Ginny and I did the pawn shop circuit Satur looking for out jewelry. That was weird and uneventful and no, we did not find any of our jewelry. Makes us think that the thief/thieves live outside the area we live. *sigh*
Interesting thing happened Friday night. Scott and I went to Artwalk and had a grand time. However, within about 20 minutes or so of arriving, we ran smack dab into my ex-husband. This has been a long time coming. I haven’t seen him in at least 6 months, and everything he thought he knew about me WAS WRONG. HAHAHAHAHA!!!!! Plus, I looked really nice Friday for Scott and then ran into the ex. I’m 50 lbs lighter and 5 dress sizes smaller. What is it that they say? Living well is the best revenge? I have to agree.
Scott was a really good sport about the whole situation. Birmingham is a small town and instead of it being 6 degrees of separation, it’s usually 2 or 1. What is it exactly that I’m trying to say? Scott and the ex know one another. They know each other peripherally. Not well, but well enough to make small talk when they run into each other. It was weird and awkward for everyone, but looking back, I’m glad it happened and I’m glad it’s over.
Of course, since it happened to me, we didn’t just run into the ex once, we ran into him twice. The second time I noticed him as he was walking by us (we were standing still watching my friends dance with fire) and when I looked up, he was staring at me hard. It caught me by suprise, but then I realized, hey, I totally shook up everything he thought he knew about me and he probably can’t believe how different I look. HAHAHAHA! I realize that might seem bitchy and I don’t care.
After leaving Artwalk, Scott and I went and got some dinner and I told him what happened between the ex and I. He was aware of the marriage and divorce, but not the why, when, how, etc. of it all going down hill.
I’ve been working on a new pair of socks. I’ll take a picture of them at some point tomorrow. Socks are socks are socks. I’m using Lorna’s Laces sock yarn and I love the colors of the yarn (variegated, of course), but I’m not sure yet if I like the way it’s knitting up or not. I want to knit a few more rounds before I decide. Either way, socks will be made…..

also having issues with the myspace.
