You know how parents aren’t cool? It’s mostly because we don’t get to wear cool shoes like these.

How rockin’ awesome are these shoes? We got these for the Boy last night at Target. B was?disappointed that they didn’t have these in the men’s shoes. I was disappointed that they weren’t available in the women’s shoes. B consoled us both by pointing out that Vans would have them in our sizes and we would just get some Vans.
That kind of consolation is a little hollow, though, when you’re standing in Target checking out the cool shoes for kids and vainly looking for them in your size only to realize that you are a loser who doesn’t get to wear cool shoes and you’re totally envious of your kid’s shoes.
Well, at least someone?in the family is cool.
*When I was taking pictures of his shoes this morning, the Boy wanted to know if i was going to put the pictures in a magazine. Because if I was, the caption needed to state that they were his shoes.
I see Chloe parts! But I’m not sure if partial Chloe warrants a true Hi Chloe!

Although I have to say that, although they are my very favorite shoes in the whole world, my son HATES them. I even found him some with BATMAN on them at Zappos and he refused to wear them. Kid needs some serious therapy or something.
Anyway – try Zappos for your size. Or Vans.com (you can even make custom ones there)

1. Sorry for not reading and commenting for the last week. I was distracted by the interwebs – at least that’s the official excuse.
2. Those *are* cool. Pity is when you are (cough) 47, you just can’t wear shoes like this and still be taken seriously at work. I still may get some anyway. Screw you, society. I’m a middle aged white guy and I’m gonna wear teenager shoes.
Any child would be privy to own a pair of these guys!!!
