This is my genius friend David Phipps who came up the Great Idea of putting the knitted Jolly Roger patch on a t-shirt. So I did just that and he got the prototype. A little thank you from me to him for such a great idea. He sent me these pictures today so of course, I have to share. I’m so excited! I love the way the t-shirt turned out and I’m definitely going to make more. I probably could have placed the jolly roger a little lower on the shirt, but overall, I would declar this venture a huge success. Not to too my own horn or anything.
Up close and personal with the Jolly Roger:
I love the magic of blocking.
I used black crochet thread to sew the patch onto the t-shirt. It’s thick enough to hold the patch in place, but thin enough to penetrate the shirt without ripping it and causing problems.
Yippee! Pirates!

So very cool!
