Sorry about yesterday’s post. That was the PG version of how I was feeling. For whatever reason, I woke up on the crabby side of the bed and was a complete grouch all day. My reward for being Oscar the Grouch? A low-grade migraine. Yech. To cheer myself up, I bought this.
As for this weekend, I did knit like crazy. I was a knitting fool. I did not even come close to knitting an entire baby blanket in two days. You know why? Because I do believe that is close to impossible when kntting with size 7 needles. Note to self: You are not a fast knitter. Saying you will knit a baby blanket in one weekend is sheer folley and quite delusional. I got about 6″ done. I, of course, did not stick with the original pattern, but am doing something close.
I will be taking pictures of all my projects tonight. I will be working on them also. Last night I just laid on my couch and wished for my head to fall off. Stupid migraine.
I’ve been going through a restless stage recently. I guess it’s that whole “what am I going to be/do (professionally) when if I grow up” thing. I did go to the library Sunday afternoon and pick up some books to study for the FSWE. I even started reading one of them. It’s a very boring read. Never fear, I will persevere.
Two other good things about this weekend. Saturday I went to visit my lil’ sis for her birthday. We went to a very lovely yarn store in Tuscaloosa, AL called Serendipity Needleworks. Now I want to move to Tuscaloosa just for this shop. It is amazing! They carry a lot of high end yarns and have a larger selection of natural fiber yarns as opposed to novelty yarns. My sister said she felt so guilty for not going in there sooner. The shop has been there for two years! They just expanded, too. I’m in lys love. When we got back to my sis’, she told her husband that she wanted yarn instead of rainboots for her birthday. I wonder if they’ve gone over there yet.
The other good thing was that I went to visit my nephew on Sunday for his birthday. He just turned 15. This is so crazy! I remember when he was just a baby and I was changing his diapers! Ew. But it’s true!
Oh, I lied. Three other good things happened this weekend. I talked to my wonderful friend Patrick on the way to see my lil sis Saturday morning. Hopefully no one at his work found out about it. ![]()
