Last Friday we took the Boy to his very first concert. We went to go see Raven at Alabama Adventure.
As is typical in these situations, the place was packed and the view was crap, but he had a blast despite being tired from all the swimming he?d done that day.
Some observations made by B and myself:
- Raven totally lip synced.
- Why did she need dancers on the stage with her? And what was up with the interpretive dance accompanying all her songs?
- Raven?s favorite phrase? HEY Y?ALL!!!! It was almost like she had tourette?s, she said it so much.
- There were more obstructions to viewing the stage than necessary. Seriously.
- Raven can pack out a house. Or outdoor stage.
Still, the Boy was thrilled, whooped it up and even danced a little (until he noticed his dad watching). All in all, I?d say it was a huge success.
Is that Raven Simone, formerly of The Cosby Show, or some other Raven that I’m too old to know?
That’s so Raven! ;o) I have to admit, her show is sorta funny. Drew’s over it now though (thankfully).
Obviously I am getting old and I have no young children (thank God they are grown!) because I don’t have a freakin clue who Raven is.

How cute that the Boy was dancing until he realized that he was being watched.
Is B pinching his titty in that picture?! lol And why do I feel weird using that word in your comments?! I wanted to take mine to see Drake Bell at Alabama Adventure – although I was also secretly glad he was out of town. He comes home SUNDAY!! YAY!
