Living up to my name…

I have truly been a knithead this past weekend. I finished up present #1. I also started and finished another scarf for a co-worker’s birthday. It’s supposed to be an Alabama (university of Alabama, Roll Tide, if you’re into football) scarf, but instead of knitting stripes or blocks of red and white, I knitted the red and white eyelash yarn together. It’s pretty and can also double as a Christmas-y scarf. I’ll post pictures tomorrow. She doesn’t know about my blog so I’m safe on that score. I also started on present #2. I was getting wishy washy about doing it. It took me forever to actually start it since I would cast on, knit a row or two and then FROG. This happened several times, usually late at night. Note to self: DO NOT START A PROJECT AT 11 PM OR LATER!!!!! Duh. Anyway, I finally got it started and like how it’s going so I should have that finished by the end of the week also.

I went to Knit Nouveau Saturday and got the kit for the Alabama Scarf. She also has kits for Auburn scarves for all you War Eagle fans. I digress, anyway, I also got some yarn to knit my dad a Santa Hat. It’s the only thing he’s asked for for Christmas. I can’t say no, it’s my dad. I also bought some Cascade Yarns – Sierra yarn. It’s variegated pink. I love it. I’m going to make a tank top with it. Possibly the Honeymoon Cami from the Spring “issue” of Knitty. I love it and have wanted to make it. I might be getting ahead of myself a little bit, but I have plenty of time to make it.

Anyway, I’ve got a little bit longer at work before I can go home and knit my little heart out! (After I stop at the store and get some dog food. )
