Lest you thought I had not been knitting, I am ready to prove you wrong. The socks have been finished since Sunday, but they were eclipsed by….uh……IKEA. Whoops. Anyway, here they are in all their finished glory!
They look a little funny because the tops are shorter and skinnier than the "feet". And also, one sock is slightly bigger than the other. This seems to be the theme for me with socks. I don’t know what it is. I knew one would be just a tad bit longer, but I wasn’t expecting the one to be slightly wider than the other. I’m not sure why this is happening. I just don’t get it. I don’t feel like I’m changing the tension of my knitting on the second sock, but apparently I am. Now, I did try on the first sock one or twice and I also put it on my Aunt B’s foot to make sure that it would fit her. That might have stretched it out a bit, right? I only put the second sock on once when it was finished to make sure it fit. Do you think that’s why the one is stretched out so much more than the other? That probably is it, isn’t it? Well, that’s my story. I might stick to it.
I have also actually started on Tubey. The last two nights I have not done a stitch of knitting. I’ve been too tired to even sit up straight (which might explain why I keep falling asleep on the couch). But I got a pretty decent amount of sleep last night and I have no plans for this evening (as in not being at home). Which means I should be planted on my couch knitting away on Tubey. Scott’s still working on a design for me for the sleeves. Hopefully he’ll figure something out soon. His problem is confining it to 50 stitches. It’s always one or two more or less. But he’s working on it and that’s what counts. Oh yeah, and I actually checked my gauge for Tubey and I am dead on. Sweet.

Hey, those look like a pair of socks I got for Christmas one year.
good looking sox, be sure to wear them on Valentine’s Day
Cute socks! I’m sure the size anomaly is due to the trying-on…of course it is!
