Knitting and Dog

Because really, is my life about anything else? Don’t answer that. The hills kicked my ass even MORE yesterday. We walked them in the reverse order and it was HARDER. I’m pretty sure my ass has shrunk since 7:23 p.m. yesterday. Anyway, Vicki of KU Crafter fame left me a comment yesterday about knitting wintery knits in the summer to have something to wear in the winter. This made sense to me and inspired me to work on Hoodie. Also, I got my Stitch ‘n Bitch book back from Celeste so I had the pattern again. Neat how that works, huh?

Anyway, after the grueling and kicking of the ass walk, I decided to sit and knit. And boy, did I knit. It was LATE when I finally decided to go to bed, and not because I was tired, but because I had to get up this morning and get to work. Wanna see? OK. I’ll show you.

Hoodiefront

Yes. It’s a crappy picture. Let’s face it, I rarely take good pictures with the camera phone. Someone take pity on me and get me one of those fancy point and shoot cameras that do all the work for you. Kodak easy share or something like that with lots of mega pixels. But until then, suffer the crappy pictures. Still, I think you get the idea here. I worked on dividing the neck last night. This is the front of the hoodie. I got one shoulder done and have started on the other side. I really want to finish the hoodie and wear it. The back is done. The front is almost done. All that’s left are the sleeves and the hood. The only thing I don’t like about this hoodie? There will be so much SEAMING to do, it kinda makes me want to cry. The sleeves are knit flat so not only will I be joining them at the shoulder, but I will also have to knit the damn sleeves together. Ugh. Love you hoodie! Hate you seaming!

I have pictures of my sweet Bear. Think of these in an animal kingdom kind of way, like, "Here we see the part chow dog, Bear, lounging in his natural habitat. He appears to be grooming himself, in spite of all the effort his human spent bathing him the other day. Ungrateful dog."

And, "Here Bear seems to be telling us something. Perhaps he would like to go outside and pee. Or maybe he is staring at the tennis racket behind the couch and thinking, ‘What in the hell is that thing?’"
