I think we should start a secret organization of knitters called the Knitterati. I have no logical reasoning for this other than it sounds both cool and corny at the same time and how fun would that be? Secret knitters. He he. And besides, who doesn’t love a conspiracy? The Knitterati are a secret organization of knitters who are trying to take over the world! (Insert evil laugh here.) Gawd, I kneed need some sleep.
Do you know what happens when a girl has one too many margaritas on a mostly empty stomach? She volunteers to do stupid things. Like being a birthday present. Luckily, it was mostly just funny and like many events in a girl’s life, a good funny story.
But I digress….I did get a bit of knitting done this weekend, but mostly I did some mad cleaning and am feeling better about life in general now so I won’t feel so guilty when I sit down tonight and knit my little heart out.
I took a trip to Knit Nouveau Saturday and picked up a couple pairs of size 9 circs, 16" and 26", a couple of odd skeins of yarn that were on sale and the new IK magazine. I am IN LOVE with the bi-color brioche sweater. MUST MAKE THIS SWEATER. I also want to make a scarf using the brioche stitch. Plus, I just like saying brioche. It sounds to glamorous and European. Probably has something to do with it being European.
I would so be a knitterati member. It sounds fab.
