My friend Richard’s surprise birthday party is tonight. I’m pretty sure he doesn’t read this website because I’ve never told him about it and I’m not even sure he has internet access, so I’m fairly certain I’m not ruining the surprise.
Anyway, Richard is an absolute doll and he’s one of these very manly guys with a very deep (and sexy) voice and he works construction and rides a motorcycle and you would never in a million years think that he knows how to knit. Or that he would even want to knit. But guess what? He’s pretty damn crafty.
I spent 20 minutes one night at a party talking to him about looms because he wants to learn how to weave after watching a documentary on it. We’ve talked before about wire knitting. He thought it was so cool that I was getting into spinning, so I figured that Richard is the kind of guy who would appreciate handspun yarn for his birthday. And I’m pretty sure he would wear these colors, too.
He sounds like a very hot commodity. I can think of at least 20 girls who want to meet him Right. Now.
