I elected to let Emily interview me and these are the questions she put to me.
1. How’d you meet the Boy?
This is not as glamorous as you would think. We met for the first time at a karaoke bar called Bourbon Street. We were there for a mutual friend’s birthday party. We had known of each other through other mutual friends, but had never met until then. (There was no karaokeing on either of our parts, but there was this one guy who sang Bohemian Rhapsody as Cartman. He was awesome.) We didn’t actually start dating until about a month or so later. Our first “date” started out as meeting up for ice cream out of smart ass spite. The rest, as they say, is history. Romantic, no?
2. What’s your favorite thing you’ve ever knit?

The t-shirt patch was an idea given to me by the wearer of the t-shirt. I still have ideas rolling around in my head to do more t-shirts with different patches. That’s why I like it so much. Plus, it’s a quick and easy knit.
Fetching was just so much fun to knit and quick and fairly easy.
Are you seeing a pattern here? I’m not much of a sweater knitter. I’ve done it and will probably do it again, but I prefer quick and easy. What can I say? I’m kind of lazy.
3. If you could only eat one meal for the rest of time, what would it be?
B’s homemade pizza. (So long as the topping can vary and it never causes me to gain weight.) It is that good.
4. What are you addicted to (outside of knitting)?
My first passion has always been reading. I will devour books. When I was growing up, my parents cultivated my love of reading and bought me a lot of the classics in abridged form tailored specifically for children. I would spend hours in my room curled up on my bed reading. Sometimes they’d make me leave the house just so I’d go play outside. Especially when a friend would come over to ask me to come out and play and I wouldn’t want to because I was reading. I’d usually get kicked out of the house then.
Nowadays I favor authors who write 500+ page books. That way the book will take me at least a week to read instead of a day or two. I prefer fiction (sci fi, fantasy, historical, suspense, thriller, etc.) because I read for pleasure, but I have been known to indulge in memoirs. I find them more interesting than biographies.
5. Where have you never gone that you’d like to?
There are several places on my list that I haven’t been yet, but desperately want to visit: Russia, Czech Republic, China, Greece, France, Italy, Japan. Those are the ones that come to mind right away. I’m pretty sure there are more. When I was a kid, I fantasized about visiting every single country in the world. If I could, I totally would.
Well, that’s it. If anyone wants to be interviewed, I’ll be glad to e-mail you some questions. Just leave me a comment!

We’re the best boxes ever!
Also, we should totally become independently wealthy and then go visit all those places.
cute!!! Has Naomi forwarded you the pictures that I sent her or do I need to send you pics too?
by the way…….the way you met the Boy is VERY romantic!
Not everyone can say that they met at a Karaoke bar!! Well, at least not a lot of people that have all their teeth…….
