Because believe it or not, this is supposed to be a knitting blog. Anyway, I did quite a bit of knitting over the Thanksgiving holidaze. First off, I finished the incredibly-boring-to-knit-but-looks-oh-so-swell scarf.
It’s like a cheese wheel, but a scarf instead. I’m guessing this scarf is pretty close to 12′ because when B tried it on, it grazed the floor and he’s 6′. Gotta mail this bad boy off to its recipient.
The other knitting was this hat:
If you are a sci fi geek, you might recognize it. I’m told this hat is somewhat cunning. I’m a little concerned that it might be a tad bit small on its recipient who has a magnificent cranial circumference of 23". I haven’t blocked it yet, and I think it might be in my best interest to do so. Then again, he doesn’t really have as much hair as I do, so maybe it’s just fine. When in doubt, block?
I need one of those head mannequins.

A man walks down the street in that hat, people know he’s not afraid of anything…
Glad to know someone was able to knit during the holiday weekend! What a good feeling to have two projects marked off your list!!!
My husband wants me to make him a Jayne hat, but I’m afraid he’d wear it in public. He’s just not cool enough to pull that off.
I’ll second that, Jen…
Then again, mine is so ANTI-cool that I may just have to knit one for him.
Naw, he won’t wear it
