about the pictures, anyway. The rest is all true! Maybe.
This is what I was looking at all last night. All weekend, too. This weekend was officially "Weekend of Sweater". I finally finished the hood. I wove in all the loose ends. The shoulders are completely seamed. One sleeve has been attached. It’s starting to look like this thing sweater is finally coming together.
Even though I am desparate to finish this thing sweater, I refuse, REFUSE to rush the seaming. This bitch is going to be perfect. Or as close to perfect as I can get it. I mean, look at this way. I started on this thing sweater in March of 2004. MARCH 2004. That was a long time ago. My goal is to finish it BEFORE March 2006. I think this is a reasonable goal.
This is what is waiting for me at home. I’ve pinned the second sleeve to the body and it is ready to be seamed. I really like seaming on the blocking board because it really keeps the pieces all in one place. I mean, my knitting is not sliding all over the place while I’m seaming and that makes it that much easier to seam properly. No half-ass seaming here. No siree.
I will say this: Kid mohair was a bad idea for my first sweater ever.

Nahce.
Nice knits you got there(.)(.) I know what you mean about “this is going to be perfect…” that’s how I felt about the green frock coat. It turned out looking OK, but there were a lot of compromises made in the end for the sake of getting it done for Fair. Some of them I can fix, some I can’t. I wish I had taken the time to do it right the first time. I think I was too busy blogging though. Good to see you are taking your time.
