So the stuff I ordered for my wheel came in Friday. Hello Jumbo Flyer!
I do believe I’ve got just about everything I need for my wheel. Right? Maybe? Close enough?
I plied up the last of the pencil roving using my brand new jumbo flyer and bobbin (1 of 4!). I like the way it turned out. The colors are kind of muted, but I like that. I haven’t taken it off the bobbin yet as I’m still savoring the fact that I have plied yarn on a jumbo bobbin. I am geeky like that and fully embrace it.
Besides, this is what’s on my niddy noddy right now. It’s what was left over. Not bad, eh? I’m just going to leave this as singles.
I finally got around to some knitting. Well, sort of. Remember this sock?
Well, I finished almost one whole repeat (And didn’t bother to take a picture. Why? I have no idea.) before I made an error, couldn’t figure out where the error was, only that I was off somewhere, tried to rip it back and managed only to fuck it up worse.
I also realized that the sock was going to be a little on the tight side since I was using size 0 needles AND this is colorwork. 60 stitches on size 1 needles is perfect for B. I’m thinking that even though this is going to be 70 stitches, size 1s should be fine because the elasticity is reduced thanks to all the colorwork. Right? I hope so. I mean, B likes a tight snug sock, but if he can’t get it on his foot, I think it’s kinda moot as to how snug it might fit.
So, last night it became this:
I guess better finish the grey sock so I can restart this bad boy on size 1s. I am not buying another set of size 1s because if I do, I’ll never finish the grey sock.

Yikes. Sorry you had to frog, but I guess better now than later. Sugar Ray is looking good!!
Is that intarsia in the round, or am I hallucinating?
