I’ve been unmoved by the wiles of the Trekking yarn siren. At least, that was the case until this past Saturday. She finally called my number. (Also, check out my kicky lounge pants from Anthropologie! They were given to me by a friend because she had too many pairs. Ohmygod, they are so comfy.)
I told B that sock yarn doesn’t count in the way of yarn purchases and he totally bought it. I think he bought it in an “I totally understand why” kind of way, but he’ll deny it if you ask him.
I have no plans for this yarn right now other than just petting it.
In the interspecies love arena, it might be time to get Sugar Ray fixed. I witnessed the most disturbing and funny, um, situation last night. Chloe led Sugar Ray to believe she wanted him in the biblical sense right there in the hallway on this very rug before gods and everyone in the apartment. As soon as he mounted her, she collapsed to the floor, rolled over and swatted him in the head. He’s been following her around the apartment ever since.
He’s totally her bitch.
I will admit that I have often given in to the Trekking.
I just finished my first pair of Jaywalkers with it last night and I love them. Also, if you haven’t seen it yet, Trekking has a bamboo version. It gets petted on almost a daily basis.
Um, I’m thinking that the interspecies love drama department – might be getting out of hand…and moving into the interspecies porno department.

I have several skeins of Trekking….but must admit I haven’t knit with it yet.

I just got back from my parents’ house – thanks to the slut-i-tude of their barn cats, there are ten gray kittens there. Good thing you won’t have that problem.
