So Boy sends me this forward via e-mail:
A girl asked a guy if he thought she was pretty,
He said…no.
She asked him if he would want to be with her forever….and he said no.
She then asked him if she were to leave would he cry, and once again he replied with a no.
She had heard enough. As she walked away, tears streaming down her face the boy grabbed her arm and said….
You’re not pretty you’re beautiful.
I don’t want to be with you forever, I NEED to be with you forever.
And I wouldn’t cry if you walked away…I’d die…
Now boy sent this to me and it said TRUE FRIENDS at the top. Is that what it sounds like to you? To me it sounds more like one of those LOVE things. One of those RELATIONSHIP things. Is that just me? Am I wrong and it’s about friendship ONLY? I. AM. SO. CONFUSED.
Anyway, so I sent e-mail back to boy. Of course, I hadn’t had any coffee yet this morning so instead of just sending one, I sent TWO. Yes. I know. D.O.R.K. Anyway, the first one telling him that I am always his friend. The second one saying that I am confused and would he just tell me in his own words what it is he wants from me…
Anybody have a clue? Oh yeah, and he didn’t mass e-mail it to a bunch of people, he just sent it to me. So I get that he’s trying to tell me something, but the message IS NOT CLEAR. BLACK AND WHITE PEOPLE. BLACK AND WHITE. I don’t do GREY.
Stupid boys. What’s with the cryptic? Yeah, that sounds like more than friends… I’m confused for ya. I’m all for the black and the white.

This sounds like the sort of thing a guy does to a ‘friend’ friend when he has just been dumped by his girlfriend.

I would be as confused as you are. I think asking him to use his own words is a good idea. But to email you? What’s wrong with real face to face?
And finally, not being your big sister but your maternal secret pal, where did he get the email from? Did someone send it to him?

GEEEE, What a pain in the tush this guy is becoming. He needs to get his head out of his lower cavity, take the risk of having his heart ripped to shreds, jump head first into this thing we call LOVE and enjoy the ride?he can worry about where it takes him later. Life is only worth living if we truly LIVE IT! I know he is scared to death of being hurt and this is where his confusion is coming from. I don?t think anyone has ever died from a broken heart. Tell him to Ride the ride already or move on!!!!!! It is often the things that scare the hell out of us that make our lives shift from mediocre, plan, run of the mill?. just merely existing to LIVING a full, exciting LIFE! He has a choice, he can stay safely on the sidelines merely existing, or he can get in the game risking self-injury while having the time of his life!
