I AM IN LOVE*

I have finally gotten over my fear of trying the brioche stitch. What a silly fear. I am totally in love with the two color brioche stitch. Have you seen the Spring 2005 IK with the Bi-Color Brioche Sweater? Bicolor_brioche

I MUST MAKE THIS SWEATER AND WEAR IT. EVERYDAY. Ok, maybe not every day, but AT LEAST ONCE A WEEK. But I’m thinking about doing it in brown and blue. Anyway, I’m making a scarf first to practice the brioche stitch. LOVE IT! I’m even going to practice the increases and decreases I love it that much. And, if I completely lose my mind, I’m going to try and make the scarf a keyhole scarf too. So stick it in your eye, because I’m gonna. I really am. I’m even gonna post pictures. You’ll see.

Oh, and next Tuesday I’m taking my first knitting class at Knit Nouveau. It’s an intarsia class. The project is a felted bag with a daisy motif. While I am not a huge fan of daisy motifs, its really all about learning how to do the intarsia, so I will forgive the daisy motif. I’m really excited about this class, too. Intarsia is one of those things that I really want to learn, but am scared to do it. So if I take a class, this way I am forced to face my fear and learn it. Thus, crushing two birds with one stone. Yeah, you read that right. CRUSHING them. YAY!

*Love is subject to change without notice. I am fickle in my love of knitting stitches people. Deal with it.
