Not being married to B is for the birds.
Thank you all for the well wishes! We couldn’t be happier.
It was killing me not to blog about it because I wanted it to be a surprise, but every time I sat down to blog, all I could think about was the pending nuptials. Glad that’s over and done with.
We took a quick trip down to Dauphin Island, Alabama for the weekend (with the little one in tow). We spent Saturday on the beach collecting shells, flying a kite, watching the seagulls and the dolphins and just relaxing and getting sunburned. It was a lot of fun.
Our real honeymoon will be later. We’re planning on a slightly longer beach trip in September and then next spring we’re going to head out of the country and park it on an exotic beach somewhere nice where they don’t speak English. And it’ll just be the two of us. I’m looking forward to it. So it’s more like we’ll have Part 1 and Part 2 to our honeymoon. How great is that?
And I did take knitting with me and even attempted it while in the car on the way down to the beach. But you know what? Lace knitting and car rides do not mix well for me. I was 4 or 5 rows into the first lace repeat when I realized I was a stitch short BECAUSE I DROPPED ONE. Um, maybe it’s just me, but dropping a lace stitch is like….it’s like adding pepper to your cookie recipe. The only way to fix it is to start over.
By the way, Jen? I LOVE the Kiri pattern. Thanks for the heads up on that one. I’ll be starting it over in the very near future.
