Wow. So I by no means meant to let a week go by without posting anything other than midget wrestling. But by the same token, it?s summer and everyone?s allowed a break every now and then, right? Besides, we?ve all switched over to a summer frame of mind over here at Casa de Pants?. All casual all the time! Pants are optional! It?s great.
So there are quite a few things I wanted to discuss with you, dear blog, but it could get rather unwieldy and incredibly lengthy so we?ll go with just the highlights.
- Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. I personally enjoyed this movie. As for all you haters? When *wasn?t* Indiana Jones a campy film and why would you expect it to now be now? And why the upset over the fact that it was about aliens. DID YOU WATCH THE OTHER FILMS? The rest of the movies were always based on the impossible, so why is this one any different? You probably hate Goonies, too. And you people? You people are crazy.
Anyway. Moving on.
- Father?s Day was a huge success. B got Boom Blocks for Father?s Day along with a 3rd Wii remote and the gadgetry to go with it. (We love the rechargeable batteries.) There was an awful lot of play going on and today our arms are sore. In fact my arms are so sore, I?m having to type this post with my nose. Thank goodness my allergies are currently under control. It could be worse.
- This season?s Doctor Who is possibly the best one yet. I LOVE DONNA. She is brilliant.
- And speaking of Doctor Who, who else is thoroughly thrilled that Billie Piper has her own show!? I?ve got the DVR set and once the kiddo is in bed, B and I will be watching The Secret Diary of a Call Girl tonight. I can?t wait!
- I still love my car. A lot.
- The Boy Child has gotten over his fear of roller coasters. (DOUBLE YAY!)
- I have found the best bathing suit ever and now all I have to do is hock a few organs to be able to afford it. And this leads to one of my all time pet peeves: WHY DOES SUCH A SMALL ITEM OF CLOTHING COST SUCH AN INORDINATE AMOUNT OF MONEY? WHY?!
Ahem. Sorry about that. I?m better now. Thank you.
- The most dangerous thing I have done this year? Asking Bravissimo to mail me their catalog. Clothing for busty chicks! It boggles the mind and makes me positively giddy. Until I look at the price tag because ?1 = $2 (approx). This makes me weep and gnash my teeth in sorrow (But no hair pulling. That hurts.) because that super cute shirt that doesn?t seem so expensive at first glance? IT?S ACTUALLY TWICE THAT.
And that pretty much wraps it up. For now.

I loved the new Indy movie! Don’t know Dr. Who. I’ve never watched it! Wow. I said it. It’s out there now. Did I just lose my “cool card?” And did I ever really have it? And, gawd, thanks for the clothing link? Gorgeous clothes, but my kid wants to go to college.
WOO HOO EDDIE!
My hubby is one of the “haters”, but I’ve got the same opinion as you do. The story lines have always been way out there. That was always part of the charm to me.
1. I watched the movie – because KAREN ALLEN was in it. Hawt.
2. Uh, bravissimo!
3. Yay for father’s day!
4. I ain’t payin’ another $12 a month just so I can watch a series about a really hot call girl. I’ll save up instead and buy jewelery.
Loved the Indy!
I can’t believe you made me see this Bravissimo site. Now I am going to go broke. I am shaking my fist at you.
You should totally read Secret Diary of a Call Girl. It’s filthy and delicious.
