My current job has just gotten better. My status officially changes to permanent next Monday AND I get the day off as a PAID HOLIDAY. This is fabulous. So is the fact that I will be getting benefits, insurance and a HUGE PAYRAISE. Life is good. I just treated myself to a new cell phone to celebrate.
Oh yeah, and this past weekend?
I was, according to W, a Charlie’s Angel because I dove into the pool fully clothed to rescue a drowning girl at his son’s pool party on Satur. Well, he did ask me to come and lifeguard. I think you can say that I did a fairly decent job of it. The downside of the day was that I lost a contact lens. However, thanks to good news, I will be replacing lost contact lens soon.
Girl’s night out Satur night. We had a fabulous time and decided to start our own knitting circle and women’s terrorist group. Mostly, we will terrorize whomever is around us while we’re knitting.
There was quite a bit of knitting done on Sunday of THE SOCK. Toe shaping will commence shortly.
K tried on his tube top sweater and I think it will fit nicely, especially after some blocking. It was quite fitted when he put it on, but there’s actually plenty of room, but the ribbing was doing its job, I guess you could say. I think once it’s been blocked it will be much looser and probably a tad bit longer than it is right now so that will be PERFECT. 0.5 inches until I start on the sleeves. I’m thinking I will attempt knitting two sleeves at the same time to avoid second sleeve syndrome…we shall see.
Hmmm…..I think that’s about it for now.
