Girl. Power. Rules.

So the first official meeting of the Do Nothing Club and Terrorist Society was last night and was a huge success! I, of course, was so excited to be knitting with friends who knit (duh) that I forgot to take any pictures at all. I also forgot my pattern for the Daisy Mae Bag (doh!), but it was all good. I ended up helping people out when they were in a bind and just got to hang out and chat with girlfriends. Who doesn’t love that?

And really, we’re not a sexist club, but presently do not know any boys who do things with needle(s) and thread/yarn. Let me rephrase that. We presently don’t know any boys that are doing things that are acceptable to be seen in public with said needle(s) and thread/yarn. Just kidding! Maybe….I’ll have to get back to you about that one….Anyhoo:

Official Rules of the Do Nothing Club and Terrorist Society:

  1. You must participate in some kind of crafty goodness that involves needles and thread/yarn (i.e. knitting, crochet, sewing, needlepoint).
  2. If you are a guy and do not participate in crafty goodness that involves needles and thread/yarn and just want to hang out with cool chicKs/peeps that do then you must come in drag unless you want to learn how to become a crafty peep. (This is where the terrorist part kicks in.)

I’m still high from having such a good time! Found out some cool stuff last night, too.

Did you know?

  1. Hobby Lobby carries the big plastic knitting needles that look like crayons? Paige had a pair of 35s (I think) that were orange. I am coveting them BIG TIME. Must. get. some.
  2. There is a yarn store in Florence, AL. Must check this out.
  3. There is an alpaca farm in Alabama (learned this from sis who was not there last night, but it’s pertinent. And she told me yesterday).
  4. Fluffy kitties who have been shaved are cute!
  5. If you have multiple cats, at least ONE will be snaggle toothed.
  6. Paige has 5 cats. One of them is snaggle toothed, but was hiding last night.
  7. There is such a thing as kamakaze sewing. And it’s cool when Celeste does it.

I think that’s about it right now.

And now, here is g.RACE’s deep thought of the day:

Walking the dog in the rain is cool unless it’s lightening and thundering RIGHT ON TOP OF YOU (practically).
