What does that even mean? "Jiggy"? What is that? It makes me think of jello.
So quite a bit happened this weekend. There is so much to tell. You might want to get a drink and maybe a snack to munch on while you read this.
First things first (duh). Yesterday was my 2 year blogiversary. Cigars all around. I was never good at keeping a journal or a diary growing up, but this whole blog thing I seem to have no problem doing. I guess all I needed was an audience (and an obsession with knitting). Not to mention I type much faster than I write. Tangent: Is this just me? I hate looking at my writing if it starts out looking good, but then I get tired and start writing kind of sloppy. I hate poor penmanship, especially mine. End Tangent. Also, after seeing some of my first posts (click on the button to my old blog and then….on second thought, don’t), it’s amazing that anyone stuck around to keep reading this thing (with the exception of my sister) since even I found it boring upon going back and re-reading it. I think I can safely say that my writing has improved since then. (If it hasn’t, don’t bother telling me.)
Scott and I went and saw Underworld: Evolution Friday night. Overall, I was very pleased with the movie. There were a few cheesy parts, but I think the story line was pretty strong. Kudos. Go see it if you like werewolves and vampires and Kate Beckinsale. She’s so cool. Not to mention hot. We went to an art opening at Bare Hands Gallery before going to see the movie. There’s always interesting stuff there. Like Scott’s artwork. Plus, I saw a bunch of people I hadn’t seen in awhile. Good times.
Saturday I went to Atlanta with my friend Lauren. We wen to Ikea and Whole Foods and ate at The Flying Biscuit Cafe. It was such a great day!

Downtown Atlanta. I love big cities.
I also LOVE Ikea. It’s so great.
Here are some things that I want to go back to Ikea to get:
Actually, I think I prefer the red couch to the brown leather couch because, well, I love red couches and I really want one. Plus, the chaise was super comfy. I would be happy with just the chaise. As for the bedroom set up. I want the whole thing. And that mirror! It was fucking HUGE! And so cool! And needs to be in my apartment!
I also bought a few things. I’ll post pictures of all that another day.
Then there was The Flying Biscuit Cafe. We went to the one in Candler Park. It was so cool. And the food was really good! I had the bacon & cheddar turkey burger. So yummy. I loved that it came with a side of fresh greens instead of fries. Yummy. I didn’t take any pictures of my food because I was too busy eating it. Oh, and Lauren ordered the fried green tomatoes as an appetizer and they come with nuts and goat cheese on top. I’m drooling right now just thinking about them. I did, however, take some pictures of the place. This is place is definitely a MUST if you are in Atlanta.
Edited to add: Lauren took pictures of her food, and you can kinda see mine in the background.
There are also all these cute shops on the same street as the cafe. Vintage clothing store, a record store (indie), a wedding shop and then a little cutesy artsy shop with some neat stuff in it. I saw Cats in Slacks of Polka Dot Mittens in real life. So very cool.
And then there was Whole Foods. I had never been in or even heard of a Whole Foods Store until Saturday. I have not lived until now. I’m not kidding. Hands down the coolest grocery store I have ever been in. You might think it’s weird to be in love with a grocery store, but I assure, it is not weird at all. In fact, after walking into a Whole Foods, you will think this is a very natural and normal thing. I mean, it is HUGE! and there are so many things to buy!
And they have cool things like these dispensers! You could buy cereal and nuts and spices by the ounce or the pound or whatever! Then you weight it on this little scale and it prints out the tag for you and how much it is! And there was so much organic food! Can you tell how excited I am about this place? (The ! might give it away. A little.) And you have no idea how happy I was to hear that there will be one coming to Birmingham! Woo hoo! I might actually learn how to cook! I normally hate grocery shopping, but with a store like Whole Foods, you just can’t hate it. It’s too cool. Ok, I think I have gone on and on and one about a grocery store enough for one post.
Edited to add: Ice cream Gelato from Whole Foods. In Whole Foods. So good. I love me some gelato.
The end of the trip looked like this:
I know you can’t tell, but I am incredibly tired in that picture. Happy, but tired.
I will leave you with this note: I ran for 15 minutes straight last night. How kick ass is that!

Happy you look.
Best regards,
Yoda
Sounds like a wonderful weekend! I envy your IKEA proximity.
Oh, and I’m totally with you on the handwriting thing….
Dude, you have all the fun.
