Flavor of the Week*

Let’s be honest. I tend to go through blog themes/layouts like I did boyfriends back in middle school. And part of it is an obsession with new themes (and back then new boys) and part of it has to do with not finding just what I’m looking for (themes). And part of it honestly is just the thrill of the chase (both).

That being said, I think I have finally found my Holy Grail of blog themes. Because let’s face it, eventually you have to stop chasing after them and pick one. The Asian in me absolutely loves the cutesy graphics. The really perverse part of me loves that the layout is so cutesy and my language, subject matter, etc. usually is not. It’s likely to make heads explode and that gives me intense satisfaction.

I’ve also done my best to streamline the content. I’m a minimalist at heart and I don’t like clutter. Let’s leave my coffee table out of it right now, ok? We’re just talking about the blog. And I think I’ve pared it down to just the things that are of any major interest.

And finally, even the shop got a makeover. I think it looks much nicer and more shop-like. Which, speaking of the shop, I plan on dyeing some roving soon. I’ve got some merino/silk roving that I’m looking forward to playing with this weekend. I should have them listed by next week.

*I’m not sure the last layout even lasted a week, so consider it more of an average rather than hard fact.

ETA: It has come to my attention that in my delirium, I have written an entire blog post on something that you pretty much can see for yourself. Except for maybe the boy crazy me of middle school years, but I digress. Clearly, lack of sleep has caused me to babble at great length about the inane and the obvious. Which, I suppose is kind of like listening to a drunk go on and on about nothing. So for that, I apologize. The part about babbling. Not about being boy crazy in middle school.

And now I’m going to go take a nap.
