Doth thine eyes deceive thee? Nay, they do not. I finally finished The Sock. And so you would not think that I was photographing the same sock twice, I took a picture of the two of them side by side. Look at how happy they are. Now, I must take them to my Aunt B. That should only take another month or so. Bad Niece. But at least I’ve been relegated from Worst Niece Ever to Bad Niece. Here’s the worst part of the whole sock ordeal, though. I made them to fit my feet. Not hers. Why should I measure her feet? Please, that would make sense. I figure her feet are close to the size of my feet. Of course, I’ve never actually payed attention to what size feet my Auntie has. In that incredibly conceited brand of logic by which I live, I decided that my Aunt B has feet roughly the same size as mine and if they are a little bigger, that’s ok, because the socks will STRETCH. Whatever. They totally will. I still think they will fit. Stay tuned to find out if I’m right or incredibly delusional.
Remember the intarsia class I went to about a month ago? No? Well, this is the bag that was the project from the class. I had an 1/8th of the bottom petal completed at the class. This weekend I felt the need to complete the bag, or at least get as close to completing the bag as possible. This is what I’ve done so far. Actually, I got a little further on the bag after I took this picture. The purple is actually a little darker and the center of the flower is actually red, not orange, but you get the idea. I have to say that I enjoying the intarsia. I even have suffered through the weaving in of the ends because, people, it gets confusing back there if you don’t.
Oh, and my non-blogging real life knitting friends and I have decided to start a "Do Nothing Club and Terrorist Society" (read: Stitch ‘n Bitch) and the first meeting of the DNCATS is this Thursday. I’m looking forward to it. I think this most certainly will be an occasion that will call for wine and/or beer. And probably some kind of snack food. But most definitely knitting. Woo hoo!

Please keep in mind that I might have been just a teensy weensy bit intoxicated AND swinging on a swing at the same time while taking some of these pictures…
I hope the socks fit. Hey, you had to base them off something. The intarsia looks pretty darn good. Someday I’ll get up the nerve to try that. The pictures are too funny!
