Chloe. I’m talking about Chloe. The cat. Anyway, she’s turning out to be such a great cat. She’s still a little bit of a spaz, but that’s to be expected because she’s my cat. But oh so sweet. I ended up leaving work early yesterday due to some kind of stomach virus and parked my person on the couch for the majority of the day yesterday. Chloe kept me company and was as sweet as I could hope for her to be. It definitely helped me feel better. Maybe I’m a little soft like that, but I don’t care. It’s one of the joys of pet ownership.
However, it’s more fun to talk about the weird things my cat does than the sweet things. I get a little itchy when things get too mushy.
Ahem.
Anyway, here’s a list of things I can think of that she does that are just odd:
- The whole suckling thing. Especially when she suckles on me. (Don’t get too carried away with that one.)
- I found her sleeping in the bathroom sink this morning. That’s a new one.
- She likes to stand on the edge of the tub in between the cloth shower curtain and the plastic liner and bat at me through the liner when I’m taking a shower.
- She also likes to lick the tub after I get out of the shower. This morning she was licking the shampoo bottle. This might become a problem later. I’m not sure.
- She loves to attack Harriet (my roommate’s cat) by splaying across Harriet’s back like some kind of parasite and biting her neck like she’s some kind of cat-vampire.
- She likes to attack the futon and hang upside down from the bottom of the mattress. (I’m not too crazy about this as it is slowly but surely destroying my futon.)
- Oh yeah, and she stares. Sometimes it’s a little creepy.
There are other weird things she does, but they escape me at the moment.
You are random and funny, but I guess that’s why I’ve always liked you!
Sounds like a perfectly normal cat to me!!
